Office 2.0

I like this! Easy to use and so helpful for working with others and especially when we are spread out across this state. If we are on a committe and need to get work done - this is it.

I created 3 documents and found it easy to use. Two were ideas for personal life and the other for work - creating a document the staff can go to when they think of an idea for summer reading 2010. How often do we think of something and forget it - this way they can log on and write out their idea for us all to read without repeating it several times.

Flickr

The week of the Flickr lesson was a busy one in the office, so I need to reread that lesson and work on Flickr. A co-worker who was also taking 2.0 enjoyed that lesson and creating from it.
Finishing Flickr will be one way I continue on with this adventure in technology.

Calling it a Wrap

This was good for me to stretch and grow once again in technology, this class allowed me to refine some definitions and gain clearer understanding of RSS, Wikis, Twitter especially. Helped my fear factor as a digital immigrant to actually go and workout on these things.

The video clips by LeFever were great! Liked his style of presenting.

The staff here likes to challenge one another to learn something new, so now we have more tools to get that accomplished. Personally I am going to use RSS more to keep up. Each day take time to find another RSS.

Tagging & Social Bookmarking

Defined out for me - I can start to see how to use tagging and social bookmarking as a time saving and an organizational tool. I like being about to see the tags on the computers I use at home and at work.

Wikis

Again, learned something new. Well, new about how to use a Wiki. I liked the link libsuccess.org to bring me to a new connection with other librarians. In this rural area - I need all the connections I can get. This lesson also taught me a better understanding of a wiki.
